Julia Fiona Roberts, born 28th October 1967 on the 28th of October, 1967 in Atlanta to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. She is the fourth Roberts generation to reside in Atlanta starting with her great-grandfather who was a farmer John Pendleton Roberts. Her father was a young man when he became interested in theater. As a student of Emory University in 1952 he performed in shows on campus and elsewhere in Atlanta. After joining the airforce In 1953, he starred in an air force production in Biloxi along with Betty Lou Bredemus. The two married in 1955, and their first son Eric Anthony was born in 1956. The couple divorced in 1957. the Air Force and Walter enrolled in Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. The family relocated in 1960 from Louisiana to Decatur Georgia where Walter began working at Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter and Betty Lou financed their own production of a Sunday morning children's show, Bum Bum and His Buddies. Later that year they founded the Actors and Writers Workshop which ran for a period of six years. They also had Lelisa Billingsley (also known as Lisa) as well as Julia (also known as Julie) at the time.
