Anita Ekberg
Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actress who starred in various European and American films. She is best known for portraying the character of "La Dolce Via," an action-comedy film. It was a huge critical and commercial success, as receiving an Oscar during the Cannes Film Festival 1960. She was born in Skane and was an actress before beginning an acting career. She was crowned her first Miss Sweden competition. When she moved to the US she started acting in a variety of films, playing small role. The first role she was credited with was in the film 'Abbott and Costello Go to Mars in which she played in the role of a Venusian guard. In the same year, she received the Golden Globe in the category of "Most Outstanding Newcomer," for her character in Blood Alley. Through her entire career, she was a part of numerous other films, including the war film by American Italian 'War and Peace', and the Western Film 'Valerie',"The Man Inside," the British adventure crime film, 'The man inside as well as the French-Italian drama "The Dam in the Yellow River'. In the year 2015, she passed away aged 83.
